In the summer of 1997, a group of Christians from Rincón, Puerto Rico began meeting together for fellowship and to study God's Word.

Their first meeting place was the Lazy Parrot, a local inn and restaurant. These people had been driving to Mayagüez for services and saw the need for an English-speaking church here in Rincón. Many of the original members were surfers, hence the laid back come as you are environment we still embrace. They continued to meet together for the next two years, meeting in various places in Rincón, when they acquired the use of the property.

That year, they transformed an old schoolhouse on the property into a children's ministry building and, through some generous assistance from local friends of the church, they built the original pavilion.

The next two years included both good times and difficult times for the church. In late fall of 2001, the church decided to re-establish themselves with a new name, new bylaws and newly-appointed leaders. Over the next few years, God blessed us with a time of healing and renewal, biblical grounding and spiritual growth, new friends to worship and grow with us, and considerable expansion of our facilities. In 2013, we became part of the Evangelical Free Church of America. The EFCA is an association of over 1,500 autonomous churches fellowshipping and working together for the sake of our common Christian mission. We look forward to what God has in store for us in the future. Our prayer is that we would be sensitive to his leading and obedient to his will. We want to be a beacon of light in Puerto Rico.

We have moved to our new location in Rincon at the Foresta School.
